Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 18, 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how StartupBros LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website, products, and services, including House of Vibe and related offerings (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

We keep this policy in plain English on purpose. If something is unclear, email us and we will explain it.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account information: name, email address, and password when you create an account
  • Profile information: any optional details you add to your member profile
  • Communications: messages you send to us via email or support channels
  • Community content: posts, comments, and other content you share in our Discord community or on our platform

Payment information

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card number, expiration date, or CVC on our servers. Stripe handles all payment card data under their own privacy policy and PCI-DSS compliance. We receive only a transaction record: your name, email, last four digits of your card, and purchase details.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser information: browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and device identifiers
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, time spent, click patterns, and referring URLs
  • IP address and approximate location derived from it
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see the Cookies section below)

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process purchases and manage your account
  • Send transactional emails (purchase confirmations, account updates, password resets)
  • Send marketing emails about new projects, workshops, and product updates (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • Run A/B tests and analyze usage patterns to improve the experience
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our terms
  • Respond to your support requests and communications
  • Comply with legal obligations

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

Service providers

We use third-party services to operate the Service. These providers receive only the data they need to perform their function:

  • Stripe processes payments
  • PostHog provides product analytics and A/B testing
  • Meta (Facebook) provides advertising measurement and audience building via the Meta Pixel and Conversions API. When you visit our site, Meta may receive information about your visit to measure ad performance and build audiences. See Meta's privacy policy.
  • Google provides analytics (Google Analytics 4) and advertising measurement (Google Ads). See Google's privacy policy.
  • Discord hosts our community (governed by Discord's privacy policy)
  • Google Fonts serves web fonts (your browser connects directly to Google's servers)
  • Vercel and Cloudflare host our website infrastructure

Legal requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Business transfers

If StartupBros LLC is acquired, merged, or sells substantially all of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Essential cookies keep you logged in and remember your preferences. The Service cannot function properly without these.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand how people use the Service so we can improve it. We use PostHog and Google Analytics 4 for this. PostHog data is processed in the United States.
  • A/B testing cookies assign you to test variants so we can measure which version of a page works better. These are tied to a randomly generated identifier, not your personal identity.
  • Advertising and retargeting cookies help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising and build audiences for future campaigns. These include:
    • _fbp — Meta Pixel browser ID. Used to identify your browser for ad measurement and retargeting. Set by Meta Pixel JavaScript. Persists for 90 days.
    • _fbc — Meta click ID. Set when you arrive via a Meta ad click. Used to attribute conversions. Persists for 90 days.
    • _ga — Google Analytics client ID. Used to distinguish unique users and attribute conversions. Persists for 2 years.
    • _gid — Google Analytics session ID. Used to distinguish unique sessions. Persists for 24 hours.
    • _gcl_aw — Google Ads click ID. Set when you arrive via a Google ad click. Used to attribute conversions. Persists for 90 days.

We show a consent banner when required by law (for example, in the EU). Declining consent prevents advertising and analytics cookies from being set. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working correctly.

When you make a purchase, we may send a hashed (non-reversible) version of your email address to Meta and Google server-side to measure conversion performance. This server-side conversion tracking respects your opt-out preferences: if you have declined cookies via our consent banner or enabled Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser, we suppress these events entirely.

We do not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. You can control tracking via our consent banner or your browser settings.

Data Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls to protect your data. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe under PCI-DSS standards.

No system is perfectly secure. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information:

  • We will notify the appropriate supervisory authority within 72 hours where required under GDPR (for EU/UK residents)
  • We will notify affected users without undue delay if the breach is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms
  • We will notify California residents within 60 days as required by CCPA
  • Notifications will include the nature of the breach, data types affected, likely consequences, and measures taken

Data Retention

  • Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. For lifetime access products, this means we retain your data for as long as we operate the Service.
  • Purchase records are retained as required by tax and accounting laws (typically 7 years).
  • Usage and analytics data is retained in aggregate form. Individual-level analytics data is retained for up to 24 months.
  • Deleted accounts: When you request account deletion, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Some data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being permanently deleted.

Your Rights and Choices

You can:

  • Access your data by logging into your account or emailing us
  • Update your data through your account settings
  • Delete your account by emailing support@startupbros.com
  • Opt out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email
  • Request a copy of your data by emailing us. We will provide it within 30 days in a standard machine-readable format.

California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you additional rights:

  • The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information
  • The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights

We do not sell your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email support@startupbros.com with the subject line "CCPA Request."

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: We do not sell your personal information. If you are a California resident and wish to opt out of any sharing of your data with advertising partners (such as Meta or Google) for cross-context behavioral advertising, email support@startupbros.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share." You may also decline advertising cookies using the consent banner on our website.
